SumSprint is a logic and addition game designed for players of all ages, combining two dice with ten numbered flaps on four sides to sharpen reasoning while teaching basic arithmetic.
The objective is to close as many numbers on the playing field, with the aim of closing all of them. The player who turns all numbers around wins.
The game uses two dice and ten numbered flaps distributed on four sides. On a turn, a player rolls the dice and may close one or more flaps whose total equals the combined value of the dice. For example, rolling a 5 and a 4 allows you to close the flap marked 9, or the 5 and 4 together, or 6 and 3, or 2, 3, and 4, or any other valid combination. If no flap or combination of flaps matches the roll, the turn passes to the next player.
The goal is to finish a turn with as few open flaps as possible, so the player with the lowest remaining score wins. SumSprint is ideal for family game nights, classroom activities, and casual gatherings, providing an engaging way to practice math through play. The game promotes development of thinking skills, hand-eye coordination, patience, and strategic planning as players work to close the most flaps.
The concept of Shut the Box—also referred to as Tick the Box—underpins SumSprint, offering a simple yet endless amount of fun that brings people together around a shared activity.
